What Unity Is All About
August 14, 2014

Within the first six months of 2013, over 6,700 Brooklyn home renovation projects were filed with the NYC DOB….that’s over 1,100 per month. Sounds to me like home improvement is on the rise and people are feeling more at ease with their financial decisions. 45f.

For a borough that’s 96.91 square miles, that means approximately 69 homes per square mile went through some sort of home improvement project last year. Whether it’s a do-it-yourselfer or a project requiring an experienced contractor, at some point the owner is doing research. There are plenty of sites out there to help you navigate all of the renovation decisions. Here are a few that I like to use – sweeten.com, brownstoner.com and recycledbrooklyn.com.

I found this information at Brownstoner.com where Brooklyn renovation and real estate topics along with marketplace data are made available. Check out this map at http://sweeten.com/maps where each reno project filed with the city is logged.
To find out how you can get in on the real estate market, send me an email and I’ll be happy to help. Click on “Contact Me” on the upper right side of my site.
